Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This policy explains what MyThailand does and does not do with your information. MyThailand is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Royal Thai Government, the Immigration Bureau, or any Thai embassy or consulate.
Operator: Louis Ross, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom,
trading as MyThailand.

Summary
- MyThailand v1 has no account and no sign-in. There is nothing to register.
- Your data is stored only on your device. We do not collect it, receive it, or store a copy of it ourselves.
- The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs of any kind.
- The app does not use cookies or any similar tracking technology, because it has no website login or account to track.
What information the app holds, and where
On your device only. The details you enter (your nationality, passport expiry date, visa type, entry dates, and similar immigration details) are stored in the app's local database on your device. They are never sent to us, to a server we run, or to any third party, apart from your own device backups (see Device backups).
Document scans. If you scan or import a document (such as a passport page or a receipt), the file is stored on your device, protected by Face ID. The app only shares a document when you choose to, using Apple's share sheet (for example, to send it by email, LINE or AirDrop). We never see, receive, or have access to your documents.
The camera. The camera is used only to scan documents or a passport's machine-readable zone on your device. Scanning is processed locally; the app does not upload camera images anywhere, and does not store a photo unless you confirm it should keep the scanned document.
Device backups. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, your app data may be included in that backup. This is standard iPhone behaviour, not something MyThailand controls, and Apple's privacy policy covers how iCloud backups are handled.
Face ID. Face ID is used only to lock access to your stored document files. The app uses Apple's on-device authentication system; it never receives, stores, or has access to your biometric data itself. Apple's own privacy terms govern how Face ID works on your device.
What we don't do
- We don't collect your personal data.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share your data, because we don't hold any to share.
- We don't use your data to profile or target you with ads.
Rule and content files
The app downloads its immigration rules and guide content from Firebase Hosting so that rule changes can reach you without an app update. These downloads are plain file requests: the files themselves contain no personal data, and the app does not send your personal data (or any identifying information about you) as part of these requests.
Affiliate links
The app includes links to third-party services we may earn a commission from if you sign up through them, currently Wise, SafetyWing, Airalo, and disclosed visa agencies. These links open in Safari. The app does not attach any of your personal data (your entry date, visa type, nationality, or anything else) to these outgoing links. Once you leave the app through one of these links, that third party's own privacy policy applies to what happens next.
Website analytics
mythailand.app (the website, not the app) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not track you across other sites, and only reports aggregated visit counts. We do not see any personal data about you from it.
Children
MyThailand is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children, in line with the "no collection" design described above.
Deleting your data
Because everything is stored on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete all app data, including document files, at any time from Settings → "Delete all my data". Uninstalling the app also removes its data from your device, subject to how iOS handles app removal.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects or how it works, for example if a later version adds an optional account, we will update this policy and mark the new version's date at the top.
