About MyThailand
A Thailand guide and iPhone app for visa deadlines and life admin, run by one person who lives it.
Who runs it
MyThailand is run by Louis Ross, a DTV holder living in Chiang Mai, as a UK sole trader. It is independent and is not affiliated with the Royal Thai Government, the Immigration Bureau or any embassy.
How visa information is sourced
The visa guides on this site are generated from the same rule data as the MyThailand app. Every point on those pages shows its source and the date it was last checked.
- Official sources are Thai government sites (addresses ending in .go.th), TAT News, Tourism Thailand and Thailand Privilege.
- Secondary sources are Siam Legal, The Thaiger and thaiembassy.com. They are never presented as official.
- Founder field report means Louis checked it in person, usually at Chiang Mai Immigration.
- Unverified means no primary source has been found yet. Check these points with your immigration office.
Forums help us find the questions people ask, but they are never used as sources.
Found a mistake?
Email support@mythailand.app with the page and what you saw. Your passport stamp and immigration receipts always win over anything on this site.
